Ron Klebba out of Hood River, Oregon, has hand built this amazing, fully sailable Pond boat. This pond boat is a working replica of an English pond boat circa 1920. The hull and spars are made of Douglas Fir.  The deck and boat cradle are made of Teakwood and are finished with Daly's Teak Oil from Seattle Washington. The hull and all spars are painted with Kirby's Boat enamel from New Bedford, Massachusetts. The deep keel is ballasted with lead encapsulated with the enamel hull paint. All the hardware is brass.  The sails are made of synthetic cloth trimmed with cotton bias tape. The spars, sail and rigging are easily removed for transport purposes. Your pond boat comes with a booklet of basic sailing instructions.

Klebba has been a life long woodworker and in 1993 he built his first proper sailboat. The last boat he built was a 28 foot yawl rigged sailboat. He's restored & built small boats & spent time as a ship's carpenter for a "tall ship" on the Great Lakes of Michigan. Klebba currently sails a Cape Dory 25 on Lake Huron in the summers. Klebba handcrafts all his boats out of his studio in Hood River, Oregon.
