Between 1930 & 1950, Wetterlings made a large amount of handheld axes for Scouts. This axe is after a classic American Scout Axe, like its original design the head is painted forest green & the end lacqured in red. The axe comes with an embroidered axe patch, which is earned only after one learns axe safety & care that is organized in a 10 page leaflet that is included.  

Wetterlings have been hand-made and eye-measured with the greatest care since 1880. The heads are hand forged Swedish carbon alloy steel, this way of forging produces an exceptionally strong & durable edge. The handles are hand shaped American Heartwood Hickory that is strong and fitted with hardwood wedges and steel rings.
